The True Story of the Washboard Tie or How my Daddy had to get hisself dressed up proper-like fer his own weddin’ day. Ever since my Daddy was a little boy, he loved to play the washboard. Whenever his mamma wasn’t cleanin’ clothes, that boy was a scritchin’ and scratchin’ on it with a pair of sewin’ thimbles. He’d play along with the banjo’s and the ladies singin’ on the radio.
